ON THE ROAD WITH SISTER TERESA MARRON, OP
In an effort to maintain contact with Marian Catholic High School grads, Sr. Teresa makes visits to college/university campuses throughout the country. Sr. Teresa says "it's inspiring to see so many students carrying out the mission of Marian by putting their faith into action through the leadership activities in which they are involved."  Many of the Marian Catholic alums are majoring in areas that will make a difference in the lives of many people. As a sign of their connection to Marian Catholic family, Sr. Teresa presents each of the young people a medal of St. Dominic to remind them of their roots. Check out Sr. Teresa's 2012-13 travels on Marian's website, mariancatholichs.com

HERE IT IS: WE NEED YOUR INPUT!
This Fall's Convocation of Dominican schools will focus on "preaching human dignity in our schools." Here are three issues we hope to address in sectional meetings:
  1. DIVERSITY - How have we or can we create an environment in our school community that supports the wide diversity of individuals that form this community: people of different races, cultures, religions, sexual orientation, etc.?
  2. DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP - How can we deal with negative issues related to the use of the internet & cell phones, i.e. cyber-bullying?
  3. SELF-IMAGE - How do we support the young women and men in our school communities to develop healthy, holistic, and authentic self-images that express their dignity as people created in the image and likeness of God?
WE NEED YOUR HELP to make these presentations meaningful to you! Please forward resources, speaker recommendations, suggestions, etc. that you have or know about concerning these topics. You may either reply to this email or send a separate email to Sr. Pat Brady at pbrady8798@aol.com (please include your name and school). We look forward to hearing from you!
