Executive Board Meets in Columbus, OH
Enthusiasm and commitment to the Dominican charism characterized the
DASS Executive Board meeting held March 28, 2011 in Columbus, OH at the
Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse and
Ohio Dominican University. The group welcomed new Board member Christopher Olley, President of
St. Catherine High School
in Racine, WI; Sheila Wathen, DASS Technical Consultant; and Sr.
Elizabeth Pardo, IHM, Grant Writing Consultant. The Board developed
goals for the next two-year period that will benefit the entire DASS
community, including the creation of e-mail listserv groups for DASS
members to facilitate networking and sharing. With the assistance of Sr.
Elizabeth, DASS also hopes to secure a grant that will provide funding
for a program of Mission formation in our Dominican schools.
The Board also recognized the many years of service Barbara Daush has rendered to the DASS organization. Barbara, President of
St. Agnes Academy & St. Dominic School, Memphis, TN, will be retiring from the Board at the end of this school year.
Please join in praying for board member Denise Bourgeoise, OP, whose
sister, also a member of the Dominican Sisters of Peace congregation,
passed away the day before our board meeting.
